My friend just went back to thailand and i was interested in studying there as an exchange student and they’re family said they would take me in as an exchange student how would i go about accomplishing to become an exchange student?

A whole loads of exchange student programmes these days. I myself was one.
There’re AFS, AYH and many others. Check your school whether it has any clubs like that and join in the activities. Usually, from US or UK, you need to be involved in the club before being selected. Talk with you parents as well, as you may need their support, consent, and financing.
