There’s a property with boathouses on the river in Nakorn Pathom province where’s next to Bangkok. You may be interested http://www.momchailai.com I never been there, but have seen the owner at the seminar who’s unique with great style and intent upon her work.
I stayed on a houseboat at Kachanaburi, part of a tour for the Bridge on the River Kwai and Hell Fire Pass. Got a little boring after a while because “houseboats” have to be on a river and remote from other more interesting locations.
You can also get a hotel in Pattaya and stay in the Naklua area if staying near the nightlife and malls turns you off. You can find some hotels that have beaches behind them. Some of them are reasonably priced. If you get a little lonesome for companionship or something more exciting to do than hang around a hotel you can hop on a baht bus and for around 10 to 20 baht you are in the areas where bars, malls and “life in general” are located.
Good luck.
HOUSEBOAT in Thailand, I have been thinking about Houseboat on a river in Kanchanaburi and Chiang Mai. I have no idea about HOUSEBOAT at the beach in Thailand.
This time you have to check about weather ‘cos have raining everyday here.
I found some website to show you about HOUSEBOAT on river.
You are welcome to Thailand.
If you would like to stay on a houseboat, I would recommend you to visit Kanchanaburi. You can stay at the River Kwai which is the wonderful river. http://wonderfultravelling.blogspot.com/…
If you choose to stay at the beach, I would recommend the following places:
1) Phuket, the paradise island of Thailand
It is one of the most beautiful island with its magnificent scene. It is indeed the mountainous island with crystal clear blue sky and more than a dozen glorious white sand beaches.
Phuket will captivate you from the moment you arrive. Whatever your pleasure, Phuket is yours to enjoy.
Come and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere of Phuket!http://associatedcontent.com/article/149…
2) Koh Samui, a nice holiday destination
It is a charming island with great beaches; i.e. the snow-white sand beaches shaded by towering palms which are very beautiful. The water is incredibly clear, so calm and good for swimming almost the whole year.
You will certainly enjoy and love the natural beauties at this hilly island. http://wonderfultravelling.blogspot.com/…
3) Krabi, your best travel destination
It is one of the most attractive travel destination due to its white sandy beaches, fascinating coral reefs, forest with cave and waterfall, etc.
It is an invitation to relax and enjoy life as you never have relaxed and enjoyed before.http://wonderfultravelling.blogspot.com/…
Have a nice time in Thailand.
houseboat sounds nice, don’t know of any in Thailand ….you can definitely do it in Goa (india) though…Beach holiday in Thailand is lovely and would probably be a better option than a houseboat,if they exist. The nearest I can suggest is if you stay on a floating raft? hotel? don’t know what you’d call them really at Khao Sok national park between Suratthanni and Phuket…..they aren’t in the least bit luxurious or in any way comfortable but for a get back to nature, living in a jungle experience probably unbeatable…..I think I paid about 500bht for a weekend all inclusive. The website below will give you some idea, but this isn’t the one I used…I went much lower down the food chain..no toilets, walls or anything…personal hygiene?…bar of soap and a giant lake……..I wouldn’t do it again but I’m so glad I did it once…. a fantastic experience, but I’m more of a home comforts boy and I would prefer to keep my liver, because the crowd I was with were mostly Thai fella’s…..and do they like their whisky
a houseboat on a river – - not sure if I have heard of any – plenty of great options for the beach – do you want a party town or something entirely secluded – or in between? – if you want a houseboat, maybe you have a romantic bent and should check out some of the islands?? -
If i were u,… i would stay in a five star hotel all week!
