How Much Does It Cost To Spend A Week In Thailand?
I’m going to visit Thailand with my friend at the beginning of June. We are going to spend a couple of days in Bangkok and see as many as we can “must see” things there. Then we are planning to spent 4-5 days in Koh Samui. Could anybody, please, tell me how much money we need if we are oriented to cheap ‘backpacking’ travel. No luxury hotels, no expensive restaurants.

$30 to $40 dollars a day not including cost of you entertaining some girl.
Back packing is a cheap and effective way of international holiday as it does not pinch your wallet. I would recommend that you book a hostel room rather than a hotel. It is cheap, safe and convenient as you have all the requirements of hotel and yet do not pay through your nose. Ideally go for bread and bed kind of arrangement with these hostels as you can have your ‘FILL’ in the morning and roam at ‘MUST SEE’ places during the day.
As you emphasise ‘must see’ in your itenerary and considering that you stay in a hostel, I would recommed a maximum budget including travelling (not by tuk tuk as it is expensive)… maximum USD 75 per person per day.
it depends if you are going to eat what the local people cook on the street as they have grilling done on the street and some local restaurants its cheap like 50-100 baht and there are also cheap hotels it depends on you and what do you want to do and how much do you want to spend like for taxis always tell them to on the meter but for me i prefer not using taxis unless for a place thats very very far because i always take a hotel thats near all the malls and places i want to see and just walk to it its better so that you dont get stuck in the traffic as for tuk tuks they can be cheap like they will take you for 20 baht or more if you agree to go to the places they want to show you like jewel shops, craft and silk shops as the tuk tuk drivers get commission so they will agree to take you for a low price if you go to these places but dont buy anything from these places they will scam you, for me i refuse to go to these places because they will ask you everytime you will use a tuk tuk and it gets boring
as for getting some massages it starts from 100 baht – 600 bht
check this site it has the info you needhttp://www.bangkokbob.net/internal_fligh…
If you eat cheap Thai food at locally run places you can easily survive on 500 baht per day. Use asiaroomss.com to look at cheap accomodation. And look at the asia hotel in bangkok its a great location and very cheap for what you get. Have fun
Cheap back pack travel with :
1. Thai Baths
2. Thai Massages
3. Tiger Shows
4. CrossDress shows
These alone will cost you a lot. But if you eat and travel like the siamese w/o any “must see must try” things, 2k-5k baht is more than enough.
Everything in Thailand not expensive but depend what hotel you gonna be they have alot of cheap and expensive hotel.. but most hotel cost 1000 baht per night and all restaurants is very cheap. Well have a great time in Thailand.
