Germans Who Have Been In Thailand- Please Help?
I am going to Thailand with Hans, Fritz and Otto. We have never been outside Germany and we wonder how it is in Thailand. I want to get a sun tan. Is it too hot for wearing dirndl and lederhosen? Can we get bratwurst in Thailand? I am not really into spicy food from far-away. Are there any German pubs in Thailand? Is it safe to kiss by the beach? Do people speak German in Thailand?

Ada, I’m not German but I just got back and will be going back again in 3 months. I was in Northern Thailand by Chiang Mai so I can’t tell you much on beach kissing.
I will say the culture frowns upon touching unless you are married. They don’t express too much in public. The food is spicy and I don’t recall seeing anything German while I was there or hearing any. It is very hot right now even in the North so I’m sure it is really hot in the South. If you are going in the Souther beach area I’m sure you can do pretty much what you want. They are familiar with the tourists since it is one of their main sources of GDP. I will say this. They are the most kind people I have ever met. I can’t wait to get back. Such a wonderful people and culture. Very proud of their King and their country.
in pattaya werded iht viel deutsches essen und auch deutsche leute oder thais die deutsch koennen antreffen, auch sind da alle anderen vergnuegungen da sicher gestellt ! und kostenguenstig.
eine thailand rundreise sollte man aber trozdem machen .. da das was pattaya bietet nicht unbedingt der mainstream in thailand ist.
