Here’s a great website for apartments in BKK, many of which provide internet services: http://www.thaiapartment.com/
As of yesterday, $1.00US=34.54 Thai baht. It’s always a good idea to look for housing near a Skytrain or Subway station. Good luck.
They’re easy to find. But of course it depends on how you define cheap.
If you don’t want to use a website to find someplace, you should probably stay in a guesthouse for at least a few days while you find the best place/best deal.
I’d advise going around the Khao San rd. area – there are oodles of places to choose from. Then look for a more suitable place for the term of your stay.
Bangkok, Grand President, Sukhumvit Road.
enquiry@grandpresident.com. There is a lovely beer garden beside it and a Internet cafe.
You probably already know but you have to pay 500 baht to leave Thailand.
