Forget it, your dreams of selling pharmaceutical drugs and gems overseas are a pipe dream. You think you’re some kind of wizz kid salesman that is the 1st to think of this? Sorry to burst your bubble but Bangkok has 100′s of companies with 100′s of workers dedicated to “international monetary research”, many known for overpricing it’s jems, and you want to try and compeat against them solo? Time to get realistic. At best you can sell your few diamonds a little more that what you paid to some stupid tourist.
Lots of Gems store in Silom area. There’s also a school for it there. Bangkok is one of the world largest gemstones exporters as all the above posters are saying. Oddly, (I know this my uncle is in the business), we import diamonds because we don’t have them. Raw uncut diamonds has no import tax, and yes you can sell them and make money in Thailand if you really have what you said is true.
Yet, again fancy diamonds is not popular in Thailand. We love colourless, I think D and 2 K isn’t large for Thais.
Fully agree with Bot. Bangkok is one of the world’s leading places for selling diamond and precious stones. By selling I mean selling to you. Not buying from you.
If you ask that kind of question here, you are absolutely clueless in this kind of business. Save yourself a lot of grief, and do some serious research on the subject.
