Budget Accomodation In And Around Pattaya Thailand?
I will be travelling with a friend to Thailand at the Start of may, and would like some help with finding a place to stay.
We are looking for somewhere cheap and clean, no more than 10/15 minutes from walking street as we will be hiring motorcycles.
Preferably by the beach and the stay will be for 2 weeks/month .
Any reccomendations?

The great thing about Pattaya is that you find Pattaya Guesthouses, hotels, resorts, apartments for any and all budgets.
Apex Hotel
216/1 Pattaya 2nd Road, Pattaya City 20260,
That’s between Soi 11 and Soi 12.
If they don’t have a room available ask if you can leave your gear at the reception so you can explore Pattaya. You will find small hotels and Pattaya Guesthouses everywhere.
The first 2 listed below are right around the corner from Apex Hotel:
Sawasdee Hotel 302/1 M.10 Soi 10 Pattaya 2 Rd., Pattaya CityDirect Line: +66 (0) 38 711-079, +66 (0) 38 710-566. 650 Baht is the walk In rate.
Friendly Guest House on Soi Sahasak which is between Soi Diana and Soi Honey Inn, off 2nd Road. Rooms are 400 Baht with Air Con and clean rooms.
Legless Arms has 8-9 rooms, very clean, good service. 400 baht per night. Soi Yamoto next to Soi Post Office, 1 block from Royal Garden Shopping Center.
Paillin House Soi lenkee, off Soi Buakhaohttp://www.paradise-pattaya.com/pattaya-…
I stayed at the Sawasdee Sea View hotel, it was very clean and i would
recommend it to anyone. It is about 10 mins walk to walking street . There are two wings in to the hotel,A and B. I stayed in Wing B which is much newer and nicer. It is 1400bt a night including breakfast. The rooms in wing A are 750bt. However i would suggest paying the extra for wing B.

Also if you want to look for other hotels, a good website is
Asiarooms.com
best web sites to use for good deals are www.wotif.com, www.agoda.com or www.asiatravelmarket.com..
I have stayed at www.opeydeplacepattaya.com and found it to be a little gem with wonderful helpful staff. Another good cheap hotel would recommend is the Siam Sawasdee and you can get rooms with breakfast for as little as £13.00 a night.
as fror sea view make sure you get superior rooms as the standard ones are c**p.
PS A bit of advice – please do not hire a bike when you stay in pattaya is a nightmare and baht buses or even taxi bikes are so cheap – wait until you get out into the country before you hie bike.
have a wonderful time in The land of smiles

Go here: http://bmhbb.info/hmre and I assure you that you will find something great and cheap.
Always mention what your “budget” price is, my budget price and yours may be far apart. Lots of bars in Pattaya not just in the Walking Street area, other places along Beach Road and Pattaya Second Road may be cheaper and just as good.
When you check into a hotel in May most of the hotels will be in “low season pricing” so it will be easy to get a place with a walk in as long as it is not real late at night.
Everyone has a favorite section of Pattaya to stay at. My preference is in the Soi Honey Inn (Soi 10 on map,) Soi Diana and maybe the Soi Buakhaw area. In this area you have many hotels in various prices. Basic fan only rooms on Soi Honey Inn and Soi Buakhaw will start around 250 baht, Star Hotel across from the Intown Holiday Hotel is one.
On Soi Honey Inn you will find the Honey Inn Hotel of course – summer rate will be around 600 baht for a room with A/C, HW, cable TV, private toilet/shower and safety box in lobby. Their restaurant is okay and not that expensive. Nearby to this hotel you will find the Captain’s Hotel and Bar, the Malee Hotel and Bar (with WiFi) and other places in the 400 to 1000 baht range.
Intown Holiday Hotel has a pool on the top floor. Bay Breeze Hotel just had a remodel last year. Close to many places including bars, Seven Eleven stores, laundries, travel agencies for tours, etc. Bay Breeze is closest to Pattaya 2nd Road (Pattaya Sai Song) and shows on map. From Soi Honey In you can walk to Beach Road in maybe 10 minutes or less depending on which end of the soi you are on.
Many tourists get in accidents with motorcycles so be careful. Transportation is only 10 baht for baht bus rides anyway. From any hotel not far from Beach Road or Pataya 2nd Road the price to get to Walking Street or even Naklua is only 10 baht!
You do not have to book every night all at one time. Book a night or two and check the place and area out. If you find something you like better just move out.
Good luck.
