all i hear on the news is that the people are protesting but i have not yet heard why.
thanks
I’m suppose to go to Thailand Nov 6 - Nov 30th (provided all is safe with the coup). While I’m there, my brother and I would like to try base jumping. I’ve heard there are places in Thailand that do it. Does anyone have any information about where to go or look to find it???
If they surf Internet, what websites do they usually go, Chinese websites or Thai websites?
I prefer not to take them on the airplane? Anyone know if I could be in the Cargo Ship that trave to Asia? Maybe it ‘ll take months but I don’t mind as long as my cats happy and safe? Or if you have an experience taking the cats oversea? PLease help !
It’s after the rainy season, it cooler and its safe.
Temperature is around 73 degrees to 90 degrees over the month they’ll get about five inches of rain. For safety as long as act as you would to stay safe in your home country you’ll be fine.
If you don’t drink to excess or take drugs , go places unaccompanied after dark, act overly flirtatious, or dress inappropriately (Thai women are actually conservative about dressing, they like to be stylish but they’re offended by nudity)
you should be fine.
Besides the Ladyboys I can’t seem to find a reason not to pick up and live there. It’s amazing. Do you agree with me? (only answer if you have been there and understand what I am talking about)
I am going to Thailand and I am hopeless at Math so don’t want to make mistakes when paying up front for accommodation, diving courses and day to day incidentals.
I know it’s about 30 baht to the dollar but when I see 100s or 1,000s of baht I get confused.
Is there any quick way of back-calculating Thai baht figures into USD without doing complicated long-division mental mathematics??
Currency Conversion for Dummies??
haha
Thanks for help in advance

Tiger Woods snubbed his fans at the Bangkok Airport when he landed there. There were banners, orchestras, literally thousands of people there to greet him, including government officials. He just walked by and ignored everyone. His mother is half-Thai, making him 50% Thai. He is a real jerk who disappointed lots of people in Thailand. Perhaps he doesn’t respect women at all. You can tell a lot about the character of a man by how he treats his mother. There are reports that he treats his mother like crap and hate Thai people — thus hating himself.
Does anyone have other examples of his rudeness; Arrogance? It is easy to see why he treated his wife and family like crap. His heart is the size of a golf ball.
I am well informed about the prostitution in Thailand and how the girls can be very manipulative and deceitful.
However, I was wondering how many girls there are actually interested in western guys instead of conducting “business” with them. If so, where can you meet them? Are they intwined with the other “business” women at bars?
There are white elephants in Sri Lanka, Thailand & Indian province Meghalaya but the exact figure is not available. In Thailand people were stunned to discover few ones in jungles fleeing their areas of habitation when tsunami arrived there as it was a news for them. Can anybody help ? On internet only few images could be searched on ‘Google’.
Thailand is a huge country, with 76 provinces. Popular places like Bangkok, Phuket and Pattaya are definitely filled with ‘farangs’. There are so many unseen places of attractions, albeit less popular. I recently travelled to Phisanulok, toured Sukhothai from there and on another trip, Kanchanaburi. Interesting places, with not too much ‘farangs’.
I’ve been hearing a lot about plane crashes on the news and I’m freaking out because I’m flying to Thailand in a few months.
Air conditioned bus from Pattaya to Bangkok (Ekamai bus station) is only around 115 baht for the 2 or 2.5 hour ride. This bus station is right near the Skytrain route. You might be able to do a tour on your own.
There are lots of travel agents who offer tours to many places, Bangkok is one of them. Find the nearest travel agency to your hotel and check out their selection book. Check a couple more travel agencies to see if one is any better than the others and choose the company you like. Most of these tours are “shared van rides” where other tourists are with you. Private tours can be arranged too but at a higher price.
I have been in and out of Thailand for many years and have yet to be screwed on buying a tour or buying a plane ticket!
Have fun.
it doesn’t exist
If you have an American passport, you don’t need a visa to go to Chile. Only a valid passport.
If you have a Thai passport, then you have to contact the nearest chilean embassy-consulate. I checked and there’s an office in Las Vegas:

I was working in Thailand a while back and the only English language channel on the TV in my hotel was Fox News. It was like watching a non-stop infomercial for George W. Bush. And the antics of that Bill O’Rielly character almost made me gag.
I wonder how many Americans actually sympathize with this guy, because it would be easy for many foreigners whose only glimpse of American culture is Fox to actually think all Americans are like him. If that is the case, no wonder so many people around the world want to take a crack at the US.
My fiance and I are looking for a decent, affordable pub somewhere (preferably east Bangkok) where we don’t have to witness Thai girls being chatted up 24/7. Does such a place exist?
there will be 8 people in my group and would like to go straight to pattaya. how much is the usual rate for a van? any specific rental van company you can recommend?
Hi, I am going to Thailand for 2 weeks and wanted to know if it would be better to book a package through an agent in UK or to get direct return flights to bangkok-london. Wanted to go Bangkok, krabi, Rayleigh beach and another Koh-sumai, Koh phanlyang and perhaps another place. looking to only spend a few days in Bangkok. And also is it worth going to Phuket? Am finding online websites really expensive and they only do 2 destinations, Bangkok and another?
I am trying to trace a relative in BANGKOK, we lost touch and all i know is that they own a couple of bars there and play golf in an expat team
