I still have problems with my mom. We had a deal, I could stay out later if my grade average is 80%. it’s at 67 percent right now. My curfew is 6:30 pm.
My mom BARELY trusts me.
she makes us stuff for me to come back early.
like: ” i have a dinner tonight, be home so i can say bye to you.”
I come home at 6:16 , she doesnt leave till 8.
….
she leaves without saying bye to me too.
I dont get it.
My dad works differently. Whenever I get a good grade, he lets me do whatever. ONE good grade.
The thing is, they used to be split up so my dad was cool and my mom was ****** up clubbing all the time so I had more freedom. I could sleep over at people’s house, my curfew was 7. I used my friends curfew a couple times, which was 9-10. She found out and got mad but it got better. Than my parents got back together, we moved in a new house and that meant new rules: no sleepover, home on weekends.
I dont know. it’s horrible.
I snuck out of my house once when my friend from thailand was
places to visit, stay, veg indian food , cost, travel time.
Bangkok, pattya, Kualalumpur, genting, penang and Singapore are the places planned.
I am going to Thailand with Hans, Fritz and Otto. We have never been outside Germany and we wonder how it is in Thailand. I want to get a sun tan. Is it too hot for wearing dirndl and lederhosen? Can we get bratwurst in Thailand? I am not really into spicy food from far-away. Are there any German pubs in Thailand? Is it safe to kiss by the beach? Do people speak German in Thailand?

Will I get into the Naval ACademy?
I’ve had a rough high school, a bit tumultuous i daresay. Before I state my .. accomplishments, I will first say this. I had no clue there were service academies till the end of my junior year. Hence, if I knew there was a school out there for me, I would have gotten 4.0 gpa no joke.
From freshman to junior year, my Gpa cumulative is 2.57, and weighted 3.09. By the end of my high school, I will have taken 7-8 AP courses, and about 6-7 science classes. And I won the school science fair, got 2nd place in counties, and am entered in the JS HS, a national science contest. I also got a 1940 on my SATs.
I’m the top violinist in my school, one of the best in the state.
I have 399 hours of community service, and I’ve gone to other countries, villages, such as Thailand and Mexico and did a lot of stuff there. For example, assisting the sick and elderly, giving out medicine, playing with the kids, performing for ppl, and was the leader of the mission relief group. I’ve been to AIDS orphanages nad stuff. which really changed me..
I’m 17 btw. I’m also the indoor and outdoor track captain of my school, as well as first violin/ 2nd chair (I should be first haha).
I’m also the co-chair for Key Club, and President/leader for FCA, the largest christian club in the nation (Fellowship of Christian AThletes)
I can be a leader, and I know what to do. I’ve started out at the bottom, and made my way up to the top. But my GPA is awful. Yeah… i’m like a retarded sevant, …..
People hear I get 1940, Science fair and blabla, violinist, Track caPtain, but my gpa is… retarded.
But due to several reasons whcih will devour this page, I will withdraw from stating them. But I will say, my desire to achieve academically has skyrocketed.
Hence, this first quarter of my senior year, I have receieved a 3.42 GPA and 4.2 Weighted, with Ap and Honors classes. I’m going to go to States this year, definintely…. and yeah..
I applied for my nominations, but Mikulski has not given me hers. I jsut have to wait for cardin or edwards. Truth is, I’m not sure If anything will go right because of my damn GPA. But I can’t look back right now, and I need to look foward. The Naval Academy is where I need to go to fulfill my destiny, that’s how I like to think of it.
I know I have what it takes, and I know that I won’t regret it at all. I want to serve. And I’m Korean, making me a minority, fluent in korean speaking writing and understanding, good at Spanish, a bit of japanese and some thai, and.. yeah.
WILL I GET INTO THE USNA???

I frequently travel to Bangkok. I would like to brighten my smile by putting Lumineers on my next trip. Does anyone know the cost and dental clinics where this could be done? Please email me phone numbers of those clinics (Silom area would be best). It is very expensive in New York, so I would prefer to do this in Bangkok. I am only interested in Lumineers (no shots, no pain). Thank you.
I go to Hofstra University a third tier school but I’m hoping to transfer to Columbia, NYU, Cornell, Northwestern, UPenn, Boston College, or Boston University.
I’m a freshman at Hofstra so my first semester i got a straight 4.0 (woo hoo! tee hee)
In high school, i had an incident in junior year when i was Key Club President, Junior Class President and fully IB. My mother moved out and afterthat i coudln’t focus or study or even be motivated. It was really hard. So i thought i had to get away from all that and I moved out against my father’s will. I worked 5 days a week to pay rent AND TRIED to juggle all that stuff. Of course i failed =/ miserably. My grades freshman/sophomore years were mainly As. Junior year they were Ds and Fs. It was harder emotionally for me. Senior year first semester i moved back home but got Fs and Ds the first semester. The second semester i miraculously pulled 5 As and 1 C out of my butt. And i went to Hofstra and got a 4.0.

I know the Ivies have like 1%-5% acceptance rate :(. Would YOU admit me?? Be honest, thanks!!
I’ll keep this short-ish.
Me and my Mum are on our summer holidays, but my dad works for himself (he has his own architect and interior design company; VIA Studios, Bangkok), so he doesn’t get many holidays.
My mum is kind of depressed because I don’t want to go shopping (I’m more of a computer and game person) with her, and my dad isn’t taking her anywhere or they’re not doing anything together.
So I had this idea to organise a fun date for them, except I don’t know what there is to do! I don’t want to organise like a dinner date, I mean actually doing something. (but not too hot because my mum hates the Thai weather, she also won’t do rock climbing or anything like that. My dad isn’t the romantic type either, just so you know.)
So I’m just wondering what is there to do in Bangkok, Thailand? We live here, so sight-seeing isn’t really what I had in mind. Are there any places to go?
My mum is 35 and my dad is 34, my mum hates anything physical and she is concerned that if she went horseback riding, the horse’s legs would break, my dad is into the outdoorsy stuff, like rock climbing and hiking and all that. My mum likes shopping and I quote ”exploring new places” (but not outdoor.) So what is there to do?
Are there any grown up activity centres (lol) or anything, nothing cheesy?
It’s an easy 10 points, please help and make an old woman happy (:
Thanks for any help.

A critical t-junction transpired when the United States learned of Japanese effort to use the Soviet government as an intermediary (11). Although concessions were made, it became clear that discussion of unconditional surrender were half-hearted. This t-junction is especially crucial because a formal surrender is needed to legitimize the ending of a war. It is critical because formalities increase the probability that United States government will reduce casualties. The sheer manpower of the Japanese military was estimated at about 5 million men. Japanese manpower spread across a wide geographic space considering all alliances with Korea, Manchuria, China, Formosa, French Indo-China, Thailand, Burma, the East Indies and Pacific Islands. It was estimated that American risk involved the loss of one million American lives in the event that a full out war proceed. In the eyes of American military leaders, the loss of one hundred thousand Japanese victims did not compare to the loss of 1 million American forces. Although the ethical dilemma was clear it did not outweigh the need to protect American lives. After several attempts at negotiations, there was no indication that the determination of the Japanese were weakening.
The third ethical dilemma that inevitably arose involved the concern of occupation in Japan. Stimson’s reports projected a long, costly, arduous occupation (12). There was evidence that occupation following war would be costly, risky, and arduous. The evidence also concluded the geographical landscape in Japan would put American forces at a serious disadvantage. Henry Stimson believed the only way to secure an unconditional surrender was to devastate the Japanese oligarchy into prompt and complete surrender. The bombing Hiroshima was followed by the bombing of Nagasaki three days later. One day later the Emperor offered to surrender.
