I’m in Thailand right now and want to go to Bangkok for the weekend. I wanted to see the Chatuchak Market, which I have heard is near the Morchit Bus Station (but I don’t know how close). What region of the city is Morchit in? I want to make hotel reservations, but I as I want to be relatively close to my hotel when I get off the bus, I need to know where the bus station is before I can make my reservations.
Please let me know what the part of the city is called. Right now judging from a map and what I have heard I think it is Thonburi, but I am not sure and would like some confirmation of this. Please cite your sources if you have any.
Thanks!

Hi, my girlfriend and I are going to Thailand in December and are going to spend two days in Bangkok before going on our travels. Can anybody recommend a fairly decent hotel that is central to the main attractions (even the best area would be a help).

I am bringing my elderly father to live out his last days with me in Thailand.I know the long flight from America is going to be hard on him.I am hoping to find a hotel we can go directly to when we get there because he will be exhausted.
Before I spend hours looking for the right hotel.I was hoping that someone out there knows about hotels with airport transfers and wheel chair accessibility and soft beds in the $20.00 to $30.00 range.I live in Thailand so I know that 20 to 30 dollars can get a person a pretty nice place to stay.Thanks.
So, i’m going to Bangkok (and Phuket too, actually) with two other lads and we will be staying in a triple room. If, by any chance one of us acquires some company for the night and we don’t want to disturb the others, are there hotels or motels we can easily check into, for a few hours or a night at max. I live in Japan and we have Love Hotels for this….I was wondering if there was anything similar in Thailand.
Does anybody know a good website where I can get a good deal on a 3 or 4 star 2 week holiday to Thailand from Loiverpool? I like the look of these multi centre holidays where you can stay in more than one city! It’s so hard to find one that doesn’t try and rip you off just because its august!!
Will be in Thailand in August on a tour and want to take a side trip to Phuket. Would appreciate and/all information.
Is it better not to book accommodation on Koh Phangan if I am planning on staying up partying all night? If not can anyone advise me if there’re nice cheap hotels near the party? I won’t be there so long as my point is just going to have fun then off to Samui. Also, I would like to know how often the boats depart to Koh Samui? Thanks in advance.

I’ve only got 1000 quid to last me for a month, so I need the cheapest accomodation possible. I would like somewhere with a safe, as i’ll have all my cash on my person. Any advice would be greatly appreaciated.

Mae Lao District is very close (10 miles) to the city of Chiang Rai. In the city, you have a wonderful choice of accommodation from top of the range hotels from 100 USD per night to clean basic backpackers at 6 USD per night.
Is it really important for you to stay in Mae Lao where the choice and quality of accommodation is much lower?
Bangkok-Novatel in siam square.
Chiang Mai-U Chiang Mai hotel near downtown.
Me and my boyfriend are travelling to thailand and would like a hotel for when we first arrive in Bangkok for 2 nights. This is our mini 10 day break before we go travelling around australia so it needs to be fairly cheap but we would still like it to be nice.
Not too much like a hostel but not some mega expensive palace either.
Thanks very much everyone….:-)
