It’s not just a good hotel in Bangkok, it’s one of the best hotels anywhere in the world. It was ranked the best hotel in the world a few years ago by Travel and Leisure Magazine and is still consistently rated among the top ten hotels in the world. I live in Bangkok and have no need to stay in hotels, but a couple of friends who have stayed there have said it’s the best hotel they’ve ever stayed in. The Peninsula and the Oriental are considered by many to be the top two hotels in Bangkok.

Me and 2 of my friends are going to Koh Samui just before the Full Moon Party in Phangan, and we are looking for places to stay. Does anyone know anywhere nice in a good, partying environment?
Thanks!

are the beaches in thailand good and can the swell get to a reasonable size to be able to surf it?
or are the beaches in thailand just all dead flat?

Been there, but not for yoga… and it was one heIIuva party!

I’ve always had the best luck with travel agents.

We are going to the full moon party in june and will be coming up from phuket where we are staying. We want to get a room in Koh Phangan just for that night. Is there a good hotel near the party that anyone can suggest?

when i was in the usa and going to Phuket I booked with the below web site. Now I live in Thailand and just call to book. You also may get a better rate by calling.

I have been to Koh Phanghan before and Ko Sumui, I was wondering if anyone could provide me with any good recommendations, place which aren’t too commercial but perfectly friendly and populated, if such a mix exists?

If anyone has any pictures that were taken on vacation that are really good, i would love to see them. I am an art student in Houston, TX at the Art Institute of Houston and in my Layout class we are redesigning a Book Jacket. In this book jacket design for The Beach by Alex Garland, I would like some beach scenes of Thai Beaches. If anyone can help me out that would be awesome. Email them to me at Jcraw4d3@hotmail.com
I really appreciate all that help. Thanks and happy traveling. I plan to go someday.

Hi, I am thinking about going to Thailand in July and I was wondering if that is a good time to go regarding weather?

Of course !!! Phuket is suitable for family holiday, you can bring your family swimming at the beatiful beaches as a karon, kata, kata noi, kamala bay, surin beach and other. If you have more free time, you and family can go around phuket and area attractions. Also, I would like to recommend Woraburi Phuket Resort and Spa is absolutely fabulous. The room is big and spacious with excellent decor. The Resort is peaceful, quiet and the best place to stay if you want to get away from City life.
I received excellent service from the hotel staff and they were very friendly and helpful. I felt like a Queen during my 3 days´ stay there. The only disappointment was that their spa facilities were not ready and i had to go out of the Resort hunting for a good spa place.
Cheer !!!

I guess you can do lots and lots there. Been there twice myself. There’re lots of beaches in Phuket, and if I remember correctly, Patong is the beach where most Westerners go there to sunbaht topless. There’s one thing you can do. There’s a lots of cheap local goods shopping street. Seafoods are plenty and quite cheap, if you like eating. Otherwise, what called ‘Bar Beer’ are plenty with bar girls and everything else with it.
For me, a good book, good seafood dinner, and lots of rest.

I am currently living in Thailand and I am finding learning the lingo a bit of a stuggle, My next big problem is learning how to read!

Looking for something affordable, not wanting to pay 100′s of dollars a night. Nice, private, quiet area. Room service is a must, along with double bed – definitely not 2 singles which is what happened last time I was in Thailand! Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

for 500/600 a night in december.
