I am the age of 21, same as my girlfriend. We’re about to finish our degrees at university. And need to make a decision about what we will be doing after..
I met my girlfriend in our exchange programs to New Zealand and have been going out with her for 5 years. We were there together for the first year then she went back to Japan while I carried on my study in NZ. It is a serious relationship but in “long distance”. However, we managed to cope with it for more than 5 years now, we meet about 3-4 times a year when we have holidays. Right now, I am finishing off my degree in England while she is in Japan. We want to be together in the future but it seems way too hard for us.
We are in the process of thinking about where to live, in Japan or Thailand? Since it seems impossible for me to get a job in Japan. While both my parents own their business in Thailand. So it seems easier for us to live in Thailand, in terms of earning money..
But the problem is, I am not sure whether she will feel lonely in Thailand, even though she will be with me? Would she be able to fit in with Thai society? Her parents are worried that she has to go through all the difficulties which she wouldn’t have if she marries a Japanese man. Also it must be hard for her to face the culture difference. So I was thinking to break up with her so that things will be earier for everybody. But I realised it is also too hard for me to cope with a life without her. Every solutions we came across, there have always been problems. We both love each other and believe in our relation. But it is so hard to realise the fact that we are not the same. I don’t really know what to do, I would like any help please..

Also, how can I find out more information about it?
I keep searching for the information on the night taxi from Pattaya to Bangkok airport. All results that I get give me the info about getting FROM Bangkok airport TO Pattaya.
My question is: how easy to get taxi at night from Pattaya to Bangkok airport, as we have to be at the airport at 6 am.
How much it would cost and how better to book it?
Thanks!
Does anyone have experience in going from Thailand to Laos using our own car with a thai license plate, what are the procedures and docs needed? We are germans living in Thailand.

Your baby will need travel document rather than birth certificate for traveling out-country. You can either get a passport for your baby, or you can include your baby into your passport for travel as accompanied child. It is easy, just go to your Immigration office and either apply for your baby or incorporate into your passport.
Derek Tonkin, former British ambassador in Vietnam, Laos and Thailand, said that after receiving her letter, the junta might be prepared “to have a working relationship of some kind” with Suu Kyi.http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20091003/wl_…
It would be further good news if Suu Kyi was able to start a review committee in conjunction with the government and a few of her party members to study the draft proposal constitutional amendments.
Good luck Myanmar and a special hello to the little novices who too should be learning about how constitutions work and are written.
I’ll be traveling next week to Thailand with a small group of people. We will be going from Bangkok up north and might even visit Myanmar for an afternoon. I am concerned about disease and any other risks such as animal or human?
Any advice?
im not us citizenship yet so i can not apply for passport.
Bus. See Google search ( bus bangkok pattaya).
If you are travelling from the new airport see http://www.into-asia.com/bangkok/airport… and http://www.amazing-thailand.com/Pattaya.…
Getting There :
From Suvarnabhumi Airport (Bangkok) there is a bus service run by Thai International. Tickets can be purchased in the arrivals hall. Two limousine services also offer transport to and from the International airport, at a cost of 1500 Baht one way. Transfer times from the airport vary from 2 - 2½ hours depending on traffic conditions.
From Ekami Bus Terminal in Bangkok air-conditioned buses run every 20 minutes to Pattaya, and are clearly labelled in English. A taxi ride from a central Bangkok hotel to Ekami will cost 100 - 150 Baht.

According to legend, King Ramkhamhaeng, The youngest son of King Si Inthratit, the first king of Thailand, modified the Sinhala (Sri Lankan) Script to create the Thai alphabet. The first written Thai language is inscribed on a stone known to Thais as the “Ramkhamhaeng stele”. However, The Thai alphabet doesn’t look like the Sinhala alphabet. Thai alphabet looks more like the Khmer (Cambodian) alphabet. Thai was once a part of the Khmer empire during King Ramkhamhaeng’s time. Was the Thai alphabet derived from the Khmer or Sinhala alphabet?
I intend to sleep (in my sleeping bag) at Bangkok airport. Do you know if they allow it? Thanks.

I just have to say this as an American who loves the U.S. and has traveled the world. We all live under a bubble in this world but when your airplane pops out of the bubble of info into free space you leave all of your countries ideals behind and you begin to realize everything you have ever be taught is based on your countries ideas and beliefs.Saint Augustine said one of the most important things ever said”The world is a book and those who don’t travel only read one page.”If you don’t you just get stuck on page 1 and that is all you ever know and that is dangerous. As I travel the world and see all of the different cultures I see how I was taught to believe America was the greatest place in the world.Well, that is the same propaganda north Korea teaches to its people.I have seen the same mentality in a brainwashed isolated north Koreans as I have seen in a mid western isolated Americans. If I said this to a north Korean they would scream and complain that I am a liar but that is the the same way as our isolated mid westerners or any isolated non traveled American would act.My brother is a history professor who understands everything about history but has always liked to live in the smallest towns.Yeah! He has never traveled and has no idea about the outside world and it hurts me deeply because if I try to talk to him about the American foreign policy even before George Bush he gets mad and I think to myself “Why did you ever study history.” I talked to my friends about this the other day from Sweden,Denmark and Finland and Thailand and they all said to me about their own personal upbringing “Don’t you think we are taught that we are the best country in the world?”Everyone is taught that but we as Americans who use to be the real paradise(outside of nasty slavery)have lost our power as the light in the dark so things have changed. My point is FOX news is our version of U.S.S.R type propaganda.I have had friends from Europe straight out ask me If I trusted in it before they would be my friends. As I watch news around the world talking about all realty and things Americans will almost never see I get sick in my stomach when I click to FOX and their only talking about diets and Paris Hilton.I saw it happen today.WE ARE BEING LIED TO BY FOX NEWS.Plus to all people outside the bubble Bill O’Reilly is considered to be the biggest liar on the planet outside the worst countries and he is.People who believe him are the same as people in north Korea crying and listening to Kim Jong ll just not quite as sick.Listen, this is just a little heads for all of you who have never been outside the bubble.Just like we feel for the isolated north Koreans. Our news is not necessarily true either. But what news is?You just have to travel the world yourself and learn what is real and what is not.I LOVE AMERICA AND I HOPE WE CAN BE THE LIGHT IN THE DARK AGAIN.
we went on a family trip to Thailand and one of the side stall where selling Banana Roti’s they where kind of like Pancake’s but a bit different they wrap the banana up in them and top it with condensed milk?
I need information for getting from Bangkok to Malaysia specifically by bus, with my first stop in Penang. I need to know where to get the best bus deals, where to board and how much to pay. Also what the things to to be aware of to avoid getting scammed.
I can find flights to Bangkok no problem, but I wanna know how much / how often flights to Krabi are from there.
My wife and i are planning on doing approx 3 three weeks sightseeing Thailand from one end to the other before crossing over to Vietnam. We like to travel on our own without any tours are we safe to do this. We love to see all historical things whether in the Hills or elsewhere once again is it safe
It varies, because there’s good competition on LON-BKK, and airlines have sales. I see £300 rtn here: http://www.cheapflights.co.uk/flights/Ba… — you can easily update cities on that site to see the cheapest available offers from airlines, as well as airfare consolidators (aka “bucket shops”).
