How Can Fox News Claim To Be Fair And Balanced?
President Obama just gave a Press Conference talking up the fact that money allocated for infrastructure recently across the country has been coming in under budget and ahead of schedule.
I was flipping around the tv to see everyone’s take and while CNN and MSNBC were showing the coverage live, Fox News was talking about the protests in Thailand this weekend. What’s more, this is on Fox’s “Happening Now” program.

The only people who claim Fox News is not fair and balanced have never watched Fox News. The just get their talking points from hate mongers at the Daily Kos and the Huffington Post.
Fox covers Obama in a very fair manner.

The fact that at the split second you flipped over to Fox they were covering something else does not mean they didn’t cover the story.
I have seen CNN ignore coverage of terrorist arrests in England for 30 minutes while Fox covered it the moment they heard of it. CNN was covering the story of panda bears while having two sentences about the terror story showing up in the “ticker tape” running under the “big story” of the panda bears.

The only thing fair & balanced about Fox News is that it is fair for there to be a conservative news network to provide balance against all the liberals outlets out there.
“Fox News” Is unfair and unbalanced…they were sued in court recently for misrepresenting the news. Their argument was that their viewers (loud, brainwashed, 2nd amendment, jesus clinging, idiots) prefer to have their stories told to them in a certain way, and since america is a capitalist nation they should be allowed to tell the “news” any way they want. The judge sided with Fox….
So I guess we shouldn’t call it the Fox News Channel; it’s more like the redneck entertainment channel. However, the Fox supporters are also right: all of the news is biased, it’s owned by very few wealthy people who share nothing in common with the realities most of of live and they deserve to be lied to in the way most appealing to them.
I don’t usually watch Fox, but the hotel I was vacationing @ had the channel…It’s a gong show with a bunch of right wing loud mouths pretending to be “experts” on subjects many of them seem to have no real experience with.
On the other hand, how can ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, and the other ‘obama’ networks be deemed as ‘fair’ with any of their reporting.
They all have ‘fawned’ over bozobama since he became a candidate… and they follow his every move.
I have YET to hear any of them be critical of anything he’s done.

I don’t think any news service is fair and impartial. When our satelite received only CNN news I was mortified at how anti-government they were. But now, according to them, the government programs are working and the government can do no wrong.
Fox news is conservative. Yet I thought they show Obama when he speaks live. I have to turn the channel because I can’t stand to see him in person. I had the same gut-wrenching reaction to Clinton.
I am biased too, but I am not a news agency.
From what I have seen, Fox News does a fair job. Yes, they are without a doubt conservative in their leanings…but they make no bones about that. They cover what they feel is worthy of coverage. Most of the other network newscasts avoid covering anything that might make the Pres.look bad. I have heard Fox give compliments to President Obama for the good things he has done…but they will also tell us what bad things he is doing. That is fair and balanced. They allow pundits from the liberal side to speak as well…and then we are responsible for making our own decisions about whatever it is.
They are a news organization. What they feel is the news of most interest is what they’ll cover. I am not the biggest Fox news fan myself but to me covering protest of any kinda has to be more interesting than listing to Obama run his mouth, AGAIN. and this time over Infrastructure?! that puzzles me.
All Obama does is talk. He should realize that that campaign is over and run the country Don’t ya think.
So if i understand correctly every news output in the nation should just jump in anytime Obama is on? you don’t seem to know what “programing” is do you? or Slot allocated times”?
So when “God” speaks we should all listen in awe!
I honestly believe that the tensions in Thailand are more important than the infrastructure money allocated … by the way … i thought that money had already been put to work like a month ago? or so did the liberal media tell us with articles about how it was already helping people get their jobs back!!!! Have you even LOOKED at CNN or MSNBC’s lineup this week? You’d have to have the IQ of a brain damaged gerbil to find it intelligent news, much less not seeing that it’s so leftist it’s walking in circles.

CNN and MSLSD would follow Obama around all day if they could – to the expense of real news around the world. Their obsession has no connection to what you, the viewer, want and need to know. In fact, they really don’t care what you want to know. Fox has a much wider perspective on a variety of things happening…..why do you think Fox has gained such a huge audience in just 10 years – they’re third place in all cable networks after USA, TNT network, then Fox News ! They have 9 of the top 10 news shows. The O’Reilly Factor alone has more viewers than CNN and MSLSD combined !
