I would like to go back there and start a business, such as a owning a apartment complex. I know I need to be a citizen to buy land, but how many options do I have to become a citizen? Thank you….

I have a check that’s been issued to me by the U.S. Government. Unfortunately, the company that handled my return this year botched the direct deposit. I can’t go home to get it because it expires after 60 days. If I have it sent to Thailand, it may use several of those days, which I can’t risk if I can’t get it cashed here.

In my continuing effort to acquire a Thai Retirement Visa (O-A visa) I will have to deposit money into a Thai bank. My intention is to just park this money in a bank and not touch it, so that it will always be there when I need to document that I have it. The only reason I would touch it is if I am going to leave the country. What do you think is the best bank and best and safest type of account for me? I’m not concerned about earning interest on this money. I am a simpleton at heart, so simpler is better.

Hi I am looking at making some investments in Thailand. Do you guys see the Thai Baht getting stronger to the US dollar or do you think it will start to get weaker?
Try the Post Office or a branch Thomas Cook. The larger branches of these should be able to help you.
Don’t use a High Street bank because you’ll get the worst exchange rate.
Preferably find a friend who’s going to Thailand and sell hime the money for ‘cost’.
