My hubby and I want to go to Vietnam and possibly Cambodia (we have been to Thailand). We are in our late 20′s, not really into parties/clubbing or anything like that.
We like eating out, beautiful scenery, snorkelling, scuba diving, cultural experiences, markets, wildlife, stuff like that.
can anyone suggest any places that would interest us, with these activities in mind?
Thanks very much :-)

I am goig to Thailand this Feb. and would really aprissiate if any one would sugest the best and not to costly places to go?

Hi, I was considering teaching English in Thailand (probably Bangkok). I have a BA (Hons) English degree and a TEFLA qualification. I was basically wondering what requirements most Universities have of prospective foreign English teachers? I hear some will take honours degrees, while some may ask for Masters or Doctorates. Also, is there a bias towards hiring older English teachers? as I’m only 26. If anyone has any experience of teaching there I’d very much appreciate any advice or tips. Thanks in advance.
Meant to say that I also plan to learn the Thai language before going there.
I’m English male, don’t know if this makes any difference or not really.

I am planning a trip from Bangkok to Ubud, but will be flying into and out of Bangkok and working my way down to Ubud over the course of 30 days. What is the best/cheepest/quickest way to get from Ubud back to Bangkok at the end of my trip?

Thai song about a boy who goes to the cops because a girl have stolen his heart?
I’ ve listened a thai song about a boy who goes to the cops to denounce the girl who “have stolen his heart”
It’s kind of rock
I NEED TO FIND THE TITLE OF THIS SONG
I DON’T SPEAK THAI, SO I DON’T KNOW THE TEXT AND THE SINGER

Im gonna go to Manila if possible in February n March 2010 for – if possible – 59 days. My primary goal is to come to know my Filipina gf from Northern Caloocan. Of course I think abt going to Puerto Galera w/my gf too for using this occasion in the best way. Essential r cheapest possible costs, so I decided to ask for cheapest flight now. Well, I could find out that after booking flight I must pay in 72 hours. It means that I must get my visa as quickly as possible to hv one affordable offer which satisfies me n to be very close to 59 days of being there.
So I start thinking abt applying for a visa:
- visa validity as I could see is only 3 months but I need not less than 6 months,
- what to type in motivational letter I hv been pointed to write to give a good reason I want to stay there for almost 2 months:
if to accent Im going there to see my gf n summit her rented house as my hotel there or to accent tourist reason – but I need time to find accomodation in Puerto Galera maybe being on the place,
-if they need hotels n itinerary in a visa application, will they check it during processing or later?
- is it probable that they will deny me? As I could see it is more difficult than to get to Thailand for 3 weeks.

We are going in 2 weeks, we get in at 9pm and leave the next morning at 7am, so we just need to be able to eat & bathe, a massage would be nice but not required, and I dont want to stay in a complete hole in the wall if possible. The Novotel is too expensive, the 4 others close by are all very inexpensive (between $27-$40) and I was hoping someone might recommend one of them over the other. The hotels are Queen`s Garden Resort At Riverview, Floral Shire Resort Bangkok, Convenient Resort, and Suvarnabhumi Grand Residence. If you know of a different reasonably priced one too that would be great too! Thanks for your help!

okay, so on the middle of this month, i wanna travel to asia. I plan to travel china for about 6 months, learn the language (mandarin) and the culture.
I have two options. Go straight to Macau – then I’ll be in China straight away and can just go into the mainland. Will the entire country be booked out during the olympics or do you think it’ll only be like Beijing etc.?
The other option is to land in Bangkok first, head up north, though Laos and eventually get to China. This option I know will be good, but the problem is it’ll take me about a month of rugged travel I reckon, and I’ve been to Thailand and Laos a few times now and i feel whilst I will enjoy it, I am backtracking a bit.
What should i do? anyone in china at the moment, what’s the atmosphere like? Is it hard to get rooms etc.?

I was on holiday in Thailand and trying to find my hotel. I asked someone and they told me that it was right at the top of the mountain. I found the mountain and could see the hotel at the top, so I began to climb. Even though it was really hot and there where tropical trees every where, there was a ski resort, with real snow on the slopes. I remember thinking that this was really odd, but then I just thought it was just a step up from the real snow indoor slopes you get in the UK. Any way, as I was climbing up (and sometimes skiing down) this mountain I noticed that on the snow where loads of polar bears. Most of them where young, but some where adults and quite dangerous. The skiers had to be very careful not to colide with them as they might have been eaten. Any way, when I was about half way up this mountain I went off peste a little bit, and was in a hot, humid tropical jungle, although I could see the snow just near by. I cam across a really steep drop that had rickety

Hope you guys can help me…
Been searching the net and looking for any review/s bout tekka hotel. If you are from Singapore or have stayed in this hotel, can you give me a lil info? Hotel is cheap, cheapest so far aside from Penang Hotel. Am on a budget, uhhmmm, actually on a backpacking mission in Singapore and wanted to spend three nights in Singapore before moving to Thailand.
Thanks a heap!

I’m talking about the ones living in Western Countries (not the innocent proud-accepting ones in the Philippines)
Why do most Filipinos have to go around claiming your Spanish,Hispanic and other cultures. When only 3%of the population have Spanish ancestry.Yet my Filipinos classmates in u.s are going around saying they are half Spanish,Yet they look like Asian,Dark skin, and slanted eyes.Cant Filipinos just learn to accept who they are!We dont share the same looks of Spanish people,NOT even close!nor Hispanics or Latinos!we share the same looks as south east asian people and our culture is mostly of Asian background(Malay Culture)
Tell me..
Do we really look like these Latino people?

http://www.sitv.com/files/imagecache/LARGE/images/Young_latinos.jpg

OR DO we look Similar to these people from Thailand?

Decide for yourselves..The obvious is right there!
and we need to begin to be Proud of our heritage and culture!
not saying false history statements to other people, trying to show off.

My boyfriend and I are flying to Bangkok from Canada. We will land in Bangkok on Dec 2, then do some travelling and visit some family up north(born there), then we plan to head south.
We will be in the south on Dec 7-17. I know this is high season in Thailand. We are staying a few days on each of these islands: Phuket,Krabi,Koh Phi Phi and Krabi.
i)Should I book online now for hotels or should I wait till I’m in Thailand and do it then, or should I just book for Phuket since i will be there first for a couple of days, then book the rest while i’m there?
ii)Also, will I have problems when i get there in 3 months to get my room if i book online, do they give you a confirmation number and such?
Also, this has nothing to do with my question…but thought i would add it instead of starting a new question.
iii) Anyone coming from Canada, did you bring Travellors Cheques with you to Thailand or did you just bring your debit card. I have heard mixed reviews about this.

Am planning a trip overseas to the USA for 2 weeks then onto the UK & Europe for probably 3 weeks. Was thinking of having a short stopover in Thailand or Hong Kong on the way over.
Does anyone have a rough estimate of how much money I should be aiming for to save?
Would most likely stay in cheap motels/hotels. Wanting to do most tourist things.
Thanks

I am going on holiday to thailand, via Abu Dhabi, The return flights have been changed and we now have a 14 hr stop over in Abu dhabi, We are wanting to book a room in the airport hotel but can’t seem to find anything on the internet with any information on prices or how to pre-book a room.
Any information would be great.

In Thailand they have what they call “serviced apartments,” which cater to mostly long–term guests, but most will also rent the rooms on a daily or weekly basis. Many offer 1-3 bedrrooms or studios, most have kitchenettes and will range from basic accomodation to ultra-luxurious in all price ranges. Many have restaurants, bars, pools and fitness centers with daily maid service, hence the name serviced apartments. I know you can try www.thailandservicedapartments.com, they have listings for many cities in Thailand, or you might try whatever city you’re going to be in, followed by serviced apartments in your browser (for ex.: Bangkok serviced apartments). You will find Bangkok has the most listings, as it is the business centre of Thailand, but there are offerings in other cities as well. I’ve had friends who have stayed in a few of the nicer ones, and the accomodation was first rate. Good luck!

Hello!
I’ve been thinking about moving to Japan, but I’ve been told that everything is extremely expensive there, and even though I want to learn everything ofcourse, I think their culture is something I can’t understand yet.
So I was thinking, are there any good countries to ‘start’ in?
I’ve heard something about HongKong, also Singapore but I don’t want
to go into the direction of Indonesia or Thailand.
Actually, I’m just aiming for places like Korea, HongKong, China, Japan, etc..
If you have a good recommendation, could you please mention why
as well?
Thank you very much. ^^

I’m a confirmed Thai “vet” but never taken a Polish person into Thailand before, I’ve met many nationallities their but I carn’t recall meeting anyone from Poland.

I found this site: http://www.golfthink.com/golf-lessons-in…
and I was thinking of going along next month when I’ve over there but wanted to find out if they were a waste of money first. They’re not cheap!

It is been almost two years since I moved to Bangkok. I own a business here in Thailand. Do I owe any pay any taxes if I have not lived in the States all this time.

He has only an aged pension to live on , so there is no chance of him being ripped off.. How would you feel ?

I met this bargirl in Thailand about a month ago she was amazing and pretty and just stole my heart. The problem is I don’t want to loose my contact with her. She goes on msn alot for me and I phone her alot. My mates tell me that i should end it but I can’t i would rather have her than knowone and go back to being lonely England is so depressing!
When im talking to her I feel amazing but when shes not there like at work i feel so sad its effecting my work shes on my mind 24/7. I’ve read all the stuff about bar girls but I never really paid her much and she seems really genuine she carrys a photo of me in her wallet!
Id love to work in Thailand and marry a Thai lady has anyone else her fallen for a bar girl?
P.S, I don’t send her any money i want to go back and see her again in Feb though for sure.
